Our heavy 260 GSM French Tech Terry garments are premium, engineered pieces. To maximize longevity, prevent fabric fading, and protect high-definition typography stacks from cracking over 50+ washes, adhere strictly to these operational rules:
01. The Cold Wash Rule
- Execution: Machine wash cold (30°C) with similar colors. Always turn the garment inside-out and use a gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
- Crucial Restriction: Avoid using fabric softeners. Softeners leave a chemical coating that degrades high-density print bonding and compromises the raw texture of the French Terry weave.
- Why: Turning inside-out shields the face-printed metadata and typography from surface friction during agitation cycles.
02. The Drying & Shade Rule
- Execution: Hang-dry the garment in the shade for the longest lifespan, or tumble dry on an ultra-low heat setting.
- Crucial Restriction: Do not wring or twist the apparel. Forcible wringing permanently distorts the heavy boxy drape and cracks printed films. Do not dry clean.
03. The Anti-Direct Iron Rule
- Execution: Avoid ironing directly over any printed design elements or technical graphics.
- Protocol: Turn the garment inside-out and apply a cool iron only if necessary. Never let a hot iron surface make contact with the print layer.
04. The Zero Dry Clean Rule
- Execution: Do not dry clean this apparel.
- Why: Industrial dry-cleaning solvents degrade specialized bonding agents holding heavy-duty graphics onto the looped French Terry structure.
05. The Bleaching Restraint
- Execution: Employ non-chlorine bleach solely when critically essential. Standard chlorine bleach permanently alters deep fabric dye and degrades high-contrast graphic details.
06. Storage Architecture
- Protocol: Store folded on flat shelving or hang on broad, structured hangers in a cool, dry place. Storing heavy 260 GSM knitwear on wire hangers can cause collar and shoulder distortion over time.
